… the world through the eyes of the rambler.

Saved by D&G by Roman Hammed Ajiboye.

Writhing in Pains
Unimaginable agony
Cudgeled by ulcer
Painkillers ineffective
He burst into tears
Doesn’t cry easily
This man

Today was different
The tears flowed downwards
No one to turn to
He was home alone
And so he cried
The agony of sickle cell
The pain … oh what pain
Stabbing pain, grinding pain

I’m gonna end it all
End this pain
Can’t stand it no more
I’ve had enough
Priapism neuralgia ulcers
Stubborn mocking ulcers

And so he reached for it
Reached for DDVP
Unscrewed the cap
Put it to his Lips
He tasted death
Death in a bottle

And then my Dreams came calling
Dreams that kept him alive
What happens to me?
His dreams asked
The visions of greatness in him
Smacked him on the head
A hard smack
What happens to us?
Dream and greatness asked

D&G saved him
From the throes of death
The welcoming embrace of Hell
Took away his pain
Now he lives
He was saved
Saved by D&G
